She completed her internship at Graduate Hospital in Philadelphia, PA and went on to complete her Neurology Residency at the State University of New York Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. She was chief resident during her final year. Her Clinical Neurophysiology Fellowship was also completed at the State University of New York Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. After fellowship Dr. Dixit was a neurologist in private practice in Northern Virginia and held the position of Assistant Professor of Neurology at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine.

Dr. Dixit is Board Certified in Neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. She is also a member of the American Academy of Neurology, American Epilepsy Society, American Osteopathic Association, and the American Medical Association.

Dr. Seema Dixit, DO is affiliated with St. Peters University Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ.

Although Dr. Dixit's emphasis in neurology is with epilepsy and seizures she also treats other neurologic disorders including multiple sclerosis, headaches, migraines, stroke, Parkinsons Disease, vertigo, and neck and back pain.
