Dr. Stephanus J. D. Busono, M.D.

Dr. Stephanus Busono has been a neurologist with the Princeton and Rutgers Neurology Associates since 1999. He studied medicine at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City and graduated in 1993. He did his internship in Internal Medicine at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Los Angeles, CA and his residency in Neurology at the University of California, in San Diego, CA from 1995 to 1998. His Fellowship was completed in EMG/Neuromuscular and Neurophysiology at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio.

Dr. Busono has considerable teaching and research experience, and has gained many awards and honors, including the Alpha Gamma Sigma Honors Society Life Membership and Academic Excellence Award in 1986, the William Wesley Memorial Scholarship in 1987, the John and Janet Del Monte Scholarship in 1988, Chief Resident in Neurology at the University of California, San Diego in 1997, the Kaiser Permanente Housestaff Awards for Excellence in Teaching, UCSD School of Medicine in 1998 and the Golden Neuron Award for Outstanding Resident, UCSD Department of Neurosciences, 1998.

Dr. Busono is Board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology as well as the American Board of Electrodiagnostic Medicine. He is a Diplomate of the National Board of Medical Examiners. He is a member of the American Medical Association, the American Academy of Neurology and the American Association of Electrodiagnostic Medicine.

Dr. Busono sees General Neurology patients. His subspecialties include neuromuscular disorders, such as peripheral neuropathy, motor neurone disease, myasthenia gravis and myopathy, as well as memory disorders including various types of dementia.
